Optimum > Poorboys for polishing IMHO
On black I have seen nothing wetter than Optium Polish, plus its so verstile. You can use it to get swirls out on a cutting pad, then come back with a polshing pad to get rid of any hazing. If you have really bad swirls, Optimum Compound worked better than SSR3 for me, less hazing and quicker working.
I do love Poorboys Wash/Wheel Cleaner/Wax/Sealants/and Tire dressing tho.

Their both great polishes. I use them both. If I need fast results I use SSR's because they work a little quicker. OP needs more polishing time to get similar results. As previously mentioned OP is more versitile and probably polishes out a little nicer especially on black. If you need an aggressive polish SSR 3 is far more aggressive than Optimum Compound. You will need to follow up with SSR 2.5 to remove hazing from SSR 3. I use both of these polishes extensively and would recommend you get both for more versitility.

I really like both, but I find myself using the SSR's more often by orbital and Optimum for the rotary.
