Big Blue Towel

Along with all the other toys (a.k.a. detail supplies) I ordered for my car, I ordered a Big Blue Towel from CMA. I have been using the absorber and I just don’t like the way it clings to everything. It seems I spend most of the time peeling the Absorber off my car. Well maybe that is a little bit of a exaggeration, but you know what I mean. I did read one post about how the Big Blue towel absorbs water and acts more like a regular towel rather then a synthetic chamois.

The Big Blue Towel comes in a plain clear plastic bag. It has a Viper tag on it. To my untrained eyes it looks like a huge MF towel. Using this over the absorber was pure pleasure. It acted just like a large MF towel. It grabbed at everything without sticking and was soft enough that I felt comfortable that it would not scratch anything. Although I came close to wiping the whole car down in one pass, I just did not quite make it. Getting the water out was a little tougher then I originally thought it would be and I did not get quite as much water out of it as I thought that I would. I found it necessary to use an extra, dry, regular sized MF towel to achieve perfection. The only negative I can come up with is that I am a little worried about the durability and cleaning of this towel. If for some reason you got a far amount of dirt into it, I would question how easy it would be to get it all out. Also, since it is more like a cloth towel then a chamois, I can imagine it wearing out quicker. Even with these draws backs, I would rather buy one of these a couple times a year then be stuck with the old absorber.
