Costaltool backing plate

I was doing some searching, trying to find specifics costaltool.com backing plate. The contour backing plate to be specific.

What is your optinion on it? Is it really worth $17 and change? Is it better than the standard one? Whats the difference? I know costaltool.com says its softer, but is softer better?

Gosh, how $2 for a counter weight can lead me to upgrade my backing plate too, and possible detail my PC, it needs it.

Thanks
Jason

yes, the pc coastal tool backing plate is better than the cma plate. Why, better velcro and quality, the cma one is cheap, the velcro started peeling off the pad after just a few uses, with my pc one, it sticks like crazy.

My CMA plate is 2 years old. Its 4 and 7/8 inches in diameter. Stuck like glue compared to the Meguiar's plate.

Thanks for the info!
