Wheel protection test results - -

Four weeks ago after doing a thorough wheel cleaning I put Klasse AIO and SG on the left front wheel and Zaino Z-5 on the right front wheel. I also topped the sealants with Wheel Wax on a single segment. Since then all I’ve done is hose down the wheels during car washes - - no brushing, no cleaner, no wiping. Today I wiped both front wheels with a white terry towel to compare the qualities of Klasse and Zaino as a wheel sealant.

Results:
There was somewhat more brake dust and grime on the Klasse towel which leads me to believe that the harder surface of the Zaino allowed less “stuff” to stay on the wheel. There were several spots on the Klasse wheel that could not be wiped off with light pressure and I had to use QD to get them off; there were only two such spots on the Zaino wheel. The areas on both wheels with Wheel Wax were visibly dirtier than the other areas, but the grime wiped off easily.

Thanks for the results, Nick - I, too, noticed that Wheel Wax seemed to attract more duct rather than just using SG alone.

I use multiple coats of SG to good effect. Did you use just one?

For four weeks the Klasse wheel had one application of AIO and one of SG, the Zaino wheel had two coats of Z-1/Z-5. After wiping clean yesterday I added two coats of SG to the Klasse wheel and two coats of Z-1/Z-5 to the Zaino wheel.

I'd be curious to see if multiple coats of SG provides better results. That has been my experience. Would you keep us posted of your results? Thanks...

It's difficult to not wipe the wheels for such a long time, but in three or four weeks I’ll do another check and post the results on the end of this thread.

Thanks for a great review!! It is one review I can implement emmediately (and not get the wheel wax) since I have the klasse combo. I used to put the AIO only, now I know better .
