Re: Dried on wax in plastic trim

I've had good luck with Meg's #40. It is also a great rubber and vinyl cleaner & protector, IMHO.

Pencil eraser. Next time use some 3M Blue Painters Tape. It takes a few minutes to tape everything off but it really makes things a lot easier in the end.

Re: Dried on wax in plastic trim

A small, stiff-bristled nylon brush and some QD spray (or APC...or ONR...any decent lubricating liquid). Go slowly around each piece of trim, all the while chastising yourself (or your customer) for creating all the effort. I confess to keeping a bottle of Wax Blaster on hand too. Seems like nearly every car I detail has wax residue somewhere. This stuff works quickly and well. And then, as suggested, by huge quantities of painter's tape when it's on sale.

Re: Dried on wax in plastic trim

I used 1Z Cockpit Premium. It took a while but it all came off a Range Rover I was doing, I think they were blind folded while applying wax.

Hands down THE best. I use a medium-stiff brush, MF, follow with QD.
