Re: What is the best sealant for looks only

Another vote for UPGP, especially on silver cars, but it looks great on any color and nothing is easier to apply.

I took the bait on 1000p. My vote goes to 1000p & AJT.

Ah, cool, somebody likes the FK1000P

Gears-Heh heh, yeah, roger that on the wax/sealant categorizing...and IMO FK doesn't help things any by calling it a "high temp wax".

I really like Wolfgang and Poorboy's EX. I still have to try out the newer version of Glanz though.

In your opinion/experience what is the best sealant regarding looks only (not looking for durability, ease to use etc...)
Everyone will have a different answer and the only way to find out what's best for you, is to try a few. The most convenient first option may be to pick up Meguiars NXT2 locally and see if it works for you. If it doesn't, there are dozens of others to choose from.

Wow, already on page two before it gets mentioned. I'm surprised.

I don't have much experience with Zaino, but as far as sealants... Hmm...
I do like Klasse, 80-90% of the zaino shine in much less time, but I always use a carnauba to top it so it's not even really the same.

The main reason I use klasse + 'nuba is simple, I live in Oregon, and Oregon seems to live on my car sometimes. The 'nuba acts as a sacrificial barrier.

Yet, I always give the option or just go ahead and put on klasse if I know it will see lots of weather and maybe a little neglect.

I just washed a white Saab 9-3 for the first time post detail, it's been many weeks since I worked on it, 2-3 months. The carnauba (P21s original formula) was about to it's end, but did not need re-application. It performed beautifully! Any sap and pollen droppings popped right off the paint without any residue. It will need re-application after the second wash though, I'll wait only 3 weeks this time.

Paint pre correction...

Post...

Usually though, I'm a 'nuba guy altogether without sealant, and most of my clients will re-apply wax after I give them some pointers so I don't have to return every few weeks for washes and waxes. I'd like to help them out and personally re-apply every few weeks, but it's too much of a hassle sometimes. I keep that reserved for people that can only take their cars through the washes, or preferred clients that would like it.

Re: What is the best sealant for looks only

UGPG, Reflections, NXT, Glanz (although technically not a sealant).

Re: What is the best sealant for looks only

I didn't think that Jetseal looked bad, but the durability is about as bad as Poorboys EX-P. Well, maybe not *that* bad, but still!

I like Zaino personally, and also Duragloss 105.
