I know David is a pretty staunch advocate of the
Clay Magic Blue, and that's also what I usually recommend, along with some
Sonus green, for those who can't get the yellow elastic clay. It does the job that clay was designed to do and it does it well.
My personal preference, however, is for the yellow elastic clay and I don't mind paying more for it. That's not much of a problem now because almost all old sources for it in the states have dried up. I have a small stash of elastic clay, but if I run out before it is sold in the states again the the Clay magic Blue would be my choice for a standard clay. I do use the Sonus green clay for light duty a lot to help stretch my stash.
I do have a couple bars of the Riccardo clay (hey, the wife was on a trip to Canada), but haven't used it yet. From what I've read it is the same as the yellow elastic clay that some of us prefer. My suggestion to the OP is to buy some Clay Magic Blue and see which one you like the best. Just because I love bone-in ribeye steaks, the wife still orders filets
