Not waxed for nearly two years, look what ONR can do!

2005 Escalade, waxed it sometime in the fall of 2006 when he got it. Washed every two weeks or so with Optimum No Rinse since then. I believe I am the only one who washes it since every two weeks (unless it stays dry the whole time in between) it is pretty dirty.

Look at how fast it starts to bead up, obviously the polymers in ONR that lift the dirt are doing something to keep the paint beading.

I also uploaded a video of me washing one of the doors with ONR, it is processing right now, I'll post the link as soon as the video is ready.

Great stuff! Love it when the pros do pics and videos of their work. Learn something every time. Thanks, Scott!

Nice Scott. I have noticed the same beading with ONR. I have some clients that haven't had their cars waxed in God knows how long and when I use ONR it still beads up pretty nicely.

That's great. Thanks for posting that. Question - what were you using to wash and why the two towels used to dry?

Are you bored with that Makita yet?

Just ship that thing to Kentucky, please.

Re: Not waxed for nearly two years, look what ONR can do!

Scott, where did you get that microfiber covered foam wash media? Is it expensive?

I have always wondered how the "something left behind" which causes the water beading doesn't cause sealants to have trouble bonding. Odd.

ONR= Optimum No Rinse Wash and Shine.

This thread explains his process (the two towels and much more):

Since others are posting "how I wash cars" threads, here is mine - Autopia.org
