Yeah, though AFAIK it has some kind of wax in it too. I'd probably call it a synthetic blend spray wax.

Note that even overseas buyers can't get the FK100..for whatever reason, it really does seem like that product is history.

So yeah, I'd be holding onto any if I had it too But I'd also keep an eye on it so it doesn't just go bad. Noting that I'm the guy who stockpiles stuff and is always using *OLD* products, I'd still pay attention for any signs of deterioration. Some people talked about how FK100 had stuff precipitate out (I think it was the "wax stuff" in its mix) and not always mix back up, so it just *might* be a product with a limited shelf-life.

I've got one bottle left too. What I do, is after I shake it, I just put my finger inside and remove the accumulated "stuff" and try as best I can to get most of it back in the spray bottle then shake it again. i think my "re-capture" rate is probably about 50%

Troy seemed to be in a "decision making" position prior to Floyd's passing. Perhaps that changed with the company being sold

Re: FX-100 Has Been Out of Stock for Months...Anyone know Why?

I bought some FK100 a couple years ago and used it a few times and then stopped..after reading this thread I was going to retry it...well it sorta separated....looks like curdled milk in coffee...I shook it and it will not go back to its original state...and its been kept in a climate controlled area....around 70 all year long....it looks like a snow globe..lol...

so any one who has some I would shake it on occasion to keep it mixed...

Al

Al...mine separates all the time. I have to shake it constantly. Fortunately mine has reached the "curdled milk" stage

Re: FX-100 Has Been Out of Stock for Months...Anyone know Why?

Funny thread!

I felt this way when KAIO changed the formula 'panic'. I still have 1 virgin bottle left, and often wonder why I don't just use it up, and move on.

I just boxed up 3 bottles of FX-100, and 2 bottles of FX-185, which looks like it has been discontinued also.

I'll have to look around because I think I have 2-3 more bottles somewhere in my stockpile/OCD collection of detailing supplies (LOL). I don't use it any longer, so you guys are welcome to it.

Send me a PM with your address.

Wow, that didn't take long. I hope the new owner enjoys the FX-100!

Maybe the guys at FK will notice this and consider putting some more on the shelf.

That's sorta the impression I got, that other people are making the big decisions.

Which is too bad, as Troy is a true enthusiast. I've had several conversations with him and he was very product oriented and seemed to actively seek customer inputs and feedback. I tested some of FK's products, thanks to Troy. They used to have an active forum and that's been long gone.

Not sure the direction now? IIRC, FK was mainly focused in the marine and aviation products, then thought there was potential application in the auto detailing areas.

landcruiser- Beats me.. I dunno what they're up to

But yeah, Torey is a true detailing enthusiast. He and I haven't always agreed on everything, but we always get along fine.

Re: FX-100 Has Been Out of Stock for Months...Anyone know Why?

Having seen this reminder of FK I went out to the 95º garage to figure out where I put my last stash of the FK FX100. Gave it mucho shakes and spritzed it on the car wiping rapidly with a good towel. I had forgotten how really well this stuff makes paint look and feel. It really is a shame that it 'tis no more. The smell still makes me want to swig it with some Vodka in it! Got maybe 12 ounces left so it goes on my car not customers. Thanks for the reminder that I had some left.....got too much stuff!
