Re: P21S 100% Carnauba Wax - Long Term Test

How does this carnauba wax compare to others in terms of dust attraction?

Re: P21S 100% Carnauba Wax - Long Term Test

I'm running another test using Meguiar's #26 as a comparison. The P21S seems to have attracted tons of pollen, but the Meguiar's hasn't been affected. It's a noticeable difference, but I haven't been monitoring the dust. Both cars are subjected to the same conditions. I'll add that to the list of items to monitor. I'll try to come up with a definite measurement for dust attraction.

I think I'll be keeping an eye on this one, as I was a fan of the original P21S.

Re: P21S 100% Carnauba Wax - Long Term Test

Did someone say pollen. I hate pollen!!!!!!! Winter sucks but I have to say that it was nice not worrying about pollen and bugs. Hopefully we will get a nice strong storm to blow away some of this crud floating in the air right now.

Hey Joe!! (oops, I mean boogie) thanks for doing this test. Looking forward to the updates.

I have some updates. I have to get the pics online and finish writing it up. I'll have something soon.

Re: P21S 100% Carnauba Wax - Long Term Test

how would this wax work with a brand new paint job (haven't picked it up yet). Here's a pic of my paint, it's a pearl paint with lots of clear

Re: P21S 100% Carnauba Wax - Long Term Test

Nice colour!

It's not recommended to wax most new paint job for about 30+ days.

As the fresh paint cures it 'out-gasses' and waxing interferes with this process preventing the paint from properly hardening.

You'll need to ask your paint-shop.
