Re: Smelly hair?

You could get those car airfreshner clips that go in vents and wear them as hairclips. You'd definately be a considered a car guy if you did that too.

for the laugh! haha

Well I would second the opinion to see a Doctor. It cant be the Crew products because I use them also and they smell good Do you have any bad habits or bad eating habits? You'd be surprised at what you eat/drink has an effect on your body. hmm This one has me stumped and Im interested in hearing what a Dr. has to say, not just some guy who plays one on the internet

Re: Smelly hair?

I eat 6-7 times a day and my intake is mostly protein. I eat up to 3000 calories and my diet is VERY strict. No sodas or unhealthy fats and in my diet. I'm pretty sure I don't have any bad habits. I'm a very clean guy, borderline metro

Re: Smelly hair?

Borderline metro huh? Well welcome to the club haha I think I have been a member for 2 years now lol

I was doing some reading online and read about some people who have had similar problems and they said it was the oils from their scalp that caused the problem?

Re: Smelly hair?

I suggest 1 oz of Poorboy's Super Slick and Suds (delicious apple smell). If you prefer a wet-look with intense shine, shape hair with Poorboy's Natty's Blue (enticing bubble-gum)

On a more serious note, most of the smell created depends on the amount of oils generated by your scalp. Unfortunately, the amount of oil generated depends on a lot of factors (diet, weather, ethnicity, etc.) Your best bet would be to pay a visit to a dermatologist and have him/her diagnose what the leading cause is. Alternatively, you could ask "reputable" hair stylists in your area - They see so many hair/scalp-types daily that they are more than likely a reliable source for information. Obviously, they will also try to sell you $30.00 hair gel...

4th here. Over time it made my scalp peel, and was beyond gross... I couldn't even stand it, and it came from my head. Think Goldmember from Austin Powers when he pulls large sheets of his dry dead skin away. Now imagine that on my head...

Yah, exactly.

I swtiched hair gels, and it went away within 3 days or so.

The high protein diet is a possible culprit. There are also some side effects and potentially serious health risks associated with mostly protein diets, especially long term. If you're under medical supervision and on this diet for another medical condition, ask your doctor about how to manage the side effects. If you're just doing the diet on your own it would be in your best interest to see a good doc and discuss the risks. Meanwhile, do some internet research on high-protein diets and the health risks associated with it. You might be surprised.
