anyone know where i can pick up a nice suit at a reasonable price?......just a pair of paints and a sport coat w/ a nice button up underneath (no tie or anything)...looking for something to wear out to the clubs/lounges when i go out, tired of looking like a refugee in a pair of jeans and polo compared to the other guys that are there...

i was thinkin about Mens Warehouse but i think there stuff is a bit to professional looking....want somehting a more casual but nice? any ideas?

thanx

Kenneth Cole makes some decent stuff at good prices. You can find the Kennth Cole line in major department stores. Expect to pay minimum 90 bucks for a good coat, and thats for a cheaper one. Still. Once you have like 2-3 coats, and a few button ups, you can change it up many many ways.

Dillard's runs semi-annual suit sales with a pretty large variety of suits and sports coats.

You might want to look at Express, but many of thier suits are not 100 percent wool. They are nicely styled...

Depending on your height, you want either a 2 button or a 3 button. Pin stripes only on gray suits, and thin ones at that, otherwise your going to look like a wannabe 1940's gansta.

As far as undershirts, french cuffs are in this season, about one inch of linen showing beyond the suit sleeve with cufflings. If you want a tie (incase you need to go more formal) the big thin right now is bold, angle cut striped ties (colliegent).

You can try SYMS, if you have one in your area. (www.syms.com) They have DKNY suite (100% wool) for 270$ and HUGO BOSS for 399$ (100% wool). Also BANANA REPUBLIC make good suites.

The style you are describing would look nice as a suit but I don't think you're selection will be large in black with white pins if just looking for a sports coat and slacks.

I wear a suit everyday at work. Men's Warehouse is pretty good quality for the price. And, I agree with ZaneO about Dillard's. I have a couple from there as well and when they run the suit sales, you can find some pretty good deals on nice suits.

Also check here... http://www.josbank.com

I never found suit buying a particularly easy task. You will have to shop around to find exactly what you want.

I agree on the pin stripes, same for window frames. I just picked up a new suit at a Macy's grand opening sale. Solid navy, 3 button. Contemporary looking, but classic at the same time. I think pin stripes are best left to Suge Knight.

Joseph Banks

I second the Joseph Banks. You can find them at their www.josbanks.com

When I was needing suits for work, I bought quite a few through them and they are constantly running GREAT sale deals. I think the quality is a bit better than MW as well.

The only other suggestion I have, if you are going to be near Los Angeles, check out the Fashion District. I got two suits worth about $750-$800 for 375
