HOndaguy2582- So the creatine is working for you? I give you a *lot* of credit for keeping an open mind about it and trying it despite your previous reservations

2001civicex- FWIW, I take the Phosphagen HP stuff from EAS but I got decent results from "regular" creatine too. Just get good, pure stuff from a reputable source (don't cheap out, never know what you'll get). I don't cycle it, but if I did I'd probably go pretty long on then two months off. I haven't seen any (real) data saying that there's an advantage to cycling nor do I find any benefits when I cycle off.

I used to cycle off during the holidays, when I usually don't train as intensely as normal, or when I needed to have surgery or something that would interfere with my workouts. But then I heard about a study that found creatine can help pereserve muscle mass when you're not lifting so I think I'm just gonna stay on it this year. I never liked the drop off in my performance (even my cardio suffered) and it's not like I got a "boost past my previous high level" when I went back on it; I just go to back to where I was before I cycled off.

If you do one month on, you'll just start to really get the benefits of it. If you cycle off then you won't accomplish much so *at least* do a few months on.

It takes between 3.5-4 weeks for the extra creatine to all get out of you and bring you back to "baseline". But you'll start to lose the effect (size, endurance, strength) after about a dozen days off. Or at least that's how it works with me.

Just take small doses so your body doesn't "down regulate" its creating absorbtion and you should be fine. When people load it the "creatine receptors" get overloaded and start to *not* accept the creatine right. Smaller doses more often, instead of big doses less frequently, are the way to go.

Heh heh, in my experience it's not completely tasteless

Just make sure you really dissolve it completely! Don't try to dissolve it in *cold* water/juice, it usually doesn't happen.

If it doesn't work consider getting some creatine with sugar in it or at least taking it mixed with grapejuice (though opinions vary about whether juice has enough sugar in it to make a difference).

I never did that, but I don't think there's anything wrong with it. You get creatine naturally when you eat meat, so I can't see any problem having it with some other protein.

HOndaguy2582- That mix oughta do the "insulin response" thing for creatine absorption very well

Dang straight it will. 5 to 1 ratio(carbs to creatine) works very well. I just add a bit more for uptake of protein!!!!!!

The way your body responds to sugar helps it absorb creatine and other things. Don't want to overdo it though...

Thanks Accumulator.

I have been slacking so bad on workingout it sucks! I did something I should of done a long time ago after reading an article on bodybuilders.com . I came up witha schedule for me to follow day by day, during the work week anyway. What I did last night, cause I was thinking about it while laying in bed, is I made a list of what I need to do day by day. I wrote on there for every mornign to take my acidophlous and vitamins. Then at lunch to take a protein shake, then for afterwork I wrote down my workout and everything else I have to do and made them priorities. So, shippign some product out comes first to keep customers happy, then working out comes after that to get it in before too late at night and then after workout I put down to pay bills. Those are priotities. Then I have a list of other stuff to do, like fix toilet LOL. If it was broke it would be a priority but it just does not flush as powerful as it once did so it can wait if I don't get to it tonight. I think this will help me manage my time, which I suck at, and will get me working out full force again no matter how busy I think I am.
