This is the exercise routine I did yesterday (BTW, I have dropped 5 lbs already).
5:00 on the exercise bike with higher tension
100 abdominal crunches at 80 lbs
A brisk 3.5 mile walk.

I STILL think you oughta be doing some more weight work each time you hit the gym, sorry about the broken record effect. At least you're DOING your workouts, which is more than most people can say I'll bet the brisk walk was actually sorta enjoyable, at least compared to how it would've been a few months ago.
What do you have planned for your NEXT workout? Maybe I oughta ask THAT instead of always commenting AFTER the fact That reminds me, I have to go put new non-slip media on my calf-block for tomorrow's leg workout.

some cardio and more weights
| OK, glad to hear you'll be doing some weight work. Any idea about the specifics? I always like to have a good plan in mind so I can psyche myself up.
Just a thought (maybe because I'm about to do legs), how about having your trainer show you proper technique for squats. No need for a bar or any other added weight, just the proper body mechanics of doing the movement. Everyone from my wife to my late father (who started doing them in his mid-80's) has agreed with me that squats are just an incredible exercise, but you gotta do 'em right. Proper arch to the back, limited movement at the hips/waist, knees in line with your feet, head up, etc. etc. It's one of those movements that a trainer can really help you master.

2 sets of 100 ab crunches @100 lbs
2 sets of 100 pulldowns at 100 lbs
2 sets of 50 bench presses at 90 lbs
Any other suggestions?

Just wanted to add and make sure you guys are all eating right.
Many times people eat way to less. For example a 300lb guy needs to eat like 3000-3600 calories in order to LOSE WEIGHT! He needs to spread it out over 6 meals and have it be the correct kind of food. If you eat more than 1000 calories below your maintenance intake you body will start to store fat like it's the end of the world. And that's why diets fail. And the second you cheat, your body will totally store that up too.

Mondays: military press and pull to the chin
Tuesday: bench press and butterflies
Wednesday: Pull behind the back and chest pull
Thursday: leg work
Friday arms curls and tricep pulls
three days a week the stationary bike
good luck

PrinzII- Yeah, what Rightlane said Re the reps/sets. At the risk of sounding like just TOO full of myself, those 100 and 50 rep sets are just NOT the way to go. They may even prove counterproductive (e.g., hard on your joints and tendons). For the muscles involved (back/chest, with some arms, all of which are primarily fast-twitch muscle fibers), you want each set to last between 20-50 seconds. So you'd be a LOT better off doing a weight you can handle for 7-10 reps per set, making that set last less than a minute, lifting sorta slow. Rest 1-2.5 minutes. Do another set, lowering the weight if you need to. Repeat until the muscle you're working is fried. Even for abs, I would't do that many reps (I do no more than 25 per set), and be SURE to do your abs LAST thing in your workout. No matter what, insist on doing your abs LAST. The stabilize your body when you exercise, so you don't want them to wear out until you're done.
Fortunately for you guys, I've gotta go do legs so I don't have time to rant on and on other than:
rightlane: you're really doing a good program! If you can do pulldowns to behind your neck you're your shoulders are healthier than mine! Switch from tricep pulls to decline tricep extensions ("skull crushers") using an "EZ curl" bar with a weight you can only handle for 6-8 reps max (about 5 sets) and your arms will grow like crazy! Only way to REALLY hit the (big) long head of the tris. If you just gotta do tricep pulldowns, use a PALM UP grip for most of 'em. But do the skull crushers!
