over all presentation wise, but for showing before and afters, I still think a video falls WAY short of still pictures. i think the video is just too hard to pick up defects, which is why I dont get why some of the detailers are using crappy point and shoot camera videos to depict their work...you cant see anything in the befores really, and the afters are from like 5-8 feet away...

Re: I made a video.
wow John that incredible. I hope to be in your position some day with a nice spaced out facility to work. I think i'll have to move away from Hawaii and to the mainland to continue on with the type of work i would really like to go after.
Great everything there in the video. Much luck to you and your crew.

Re: I made a video.
I like the fact that you used the Paul Dalton template for your video. I feel like there was a lot of emphasis on the wash/interior detailing with very little emphasis on the most time consuming part: the paint correction!

Understandable - most 99% of people, washing/interior is the 'biggest' part of detailing. To them, paint correction means taking a buffer, spending 1hr, and having perfect paint.....they don't want to hear it takes upwards of 10hrs to do that part.

Very true, the video would be very boring just watching me buff.

Agreed. I would've just spent a few more seconds explaining the care and time it takes to do a proper paint correction. I would explain how many pads you use and roughly how long you buff for on your average vehicle. I would also stress the fact that the compounds you are using are "resurfacing" the clearcoat.

Not a bad idea, I think we have enough footage that I could actually re-edit the movie.

Re: I made a video.
great video.. if you do add some more info . i would add that most detailers use glazes that cover up swirls and that you completly remove them not cover them up ... just a thought . but none the less great video!!!
