Wireless business management

Hi all,

How many you mobile / fixed owners / operators manage your businesses through a wireless device such a BlackBerry ?

I'm curious if any of you have any applications that you find useful in our industry... I currently use Google Sync for BlackBerry with Google Calendar, it keeps my bookings updated in my device as well as my company's web site. Facebook Mobile also lets me keep on-top of my business' fan page.

So, what apps (if any) do you guys take advantage of ?

Re: Wireless business management

My iPhone is an integral part of my business. Mobile email, credit card processing, navigation, scheduling and more on one device.

I'd be lost without it!

What app / provider do you use to process credit cards ? I wonder if it's cheaper than the traditional standard POS machine...

Re: Wireless business management

I use my BB to keep all of my appts. and customers phone numbers as well. I love having it, and using it to help run my business.

There's an app in the [Apple] App Store called "Credit Card Terminal". I've never used the app but It's the highest rated app of it's kind on the App Store, and my friends who use it love it. As far as the costs in comparison to a regular POS machine I don't know enough about them to provide you accurate information.

I use my iPhone a lot to manage my detailing business, from using Google Calendar to update my website calendar (really nice feature) to checking and replying to customer e-mail. It's a big part of my business productivity.

Hope some of this info helped a bit.

Re: Wireless business management

I use my WinMo phone for all my contacts(with notes on each) calendar with appt reminder, I get my emails and text messages(kinda weird but some customers are more comfortable with text) and last but not least the phone itself.

I wish there was a credit card app for Windows phones
