Started a blog!

So recently I started a blog. This seems to be a good way to showcase the work that we do. Does anyone else do something similar? I was thinking about making a facebook page as well. Let me know what you think of my blog.

Metropolitan Detail

Thanks,

John

I like it...but I question blogs in this business. Other businesses that are world wide, it works for them. For a local business, i don't see much of a benefit. Then again, you guys do more than just detailing, so it might work out. Goodluck...not many people have had successful blogs...

I think a blog does have an application and its certainly useful locally. nine times out of ten someone who is new to an area is going to be googling what is the best restaurant in xxxxx zip code or what is the best detailer and blogs and website will come up, a blog is also easy to update compared to a website so its easy to show the latest and greatest which could impress potential clients

btw
JohnKleven the blog looks great keep it up...a facebook page would be cool, especially if your customers have a facebook page...instant networking!

I disagree. Potential clients love my blog. They enjoy the before / afters and to see the potential of the "final results". Additionally, happy customers share the link with friends, family, and co-workers.

Simply put, blogging works.

John,

Thank you for your comment. The snag that I'm running into with the blog is that it's become quite customer focused at this time. It's helped us leverage a lot of new business because of the "expected results".

I've wrote a few product reviews, but I feel like the blog is for my customers, not as a resource for other detailers. I wish it could be both! I really want the customers to be impressed with the jobs we do, and not be hit with YouTube video's testing compounds on exotic cars.

Simply put, I don't want them to get lost in the content and want their attention on our work.

Re: Started a blog!

Five star, I like the looks of it and the work you perform looks very good. I just did a boat for the first time last week and don't think it is my cup of tea. A lot of just cleaning large surfaces but your boats look great.

Question, I didnt notice any prices for polishing. Is that not a service you offer?
