Starting Out | Swissvax Products?

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid new guy question, but I come to the professionals with humble ignorance.

I want to start detailing cars out of my garage, and eventually make it into a business. I was wondering if any of you use Swissvax products. I have a friend that swears by them, but I have been trolling around quite a bit and don't see that you folks use them much. Just curious of your thoughts.

I use Swissvax Saphir and love it.

I use both Crystal Rock and Mystery. I don't know that I would spend the money on these products until I perfected my prep/correction capabilities.

Re: Starting Out | Swissvax Products?

If your intent is to run a business as opposed to detailing your own car or others just for fun, I'd stay away from Swissvax merely due to the cost of the products.
You'd have to charge a small fortune in order to make a profit. I assume profit is your goal?

If you starting out, Onyx is fine. Saphit is next, then Concourso. After that step up to Crystal Rock. I wouldn't bother applying Crystal Rock unless the paint was perfect before. They also smell like tropical fruit, well Saphir does and I hear Crystal Rock does as well.

Go to: SWISSVAX CAR CARE They are a sponsor of this site and you can get a discount if you use the coupon code "autopia"

Yeah, that would be the end goal is to profit. And I will be perfectly honest, I won't tackle this until my skill level is FAR beyond what is now. I would probably buy Swissvax for my own car (getting a 335i in a few months - coming out of a 350z), but then as far as the business standpoint goes, only using it for higher end cars, and using a much more reasonable product line otherwise.

And again, I am thinking very 'down the road' here. I know how foolish it is talking about a product line like that when I don't have the skill level for it...that's like jumping into a Veyron on your 16th birthday. I plan on using other products as my skill level increases of course.

IMHO.. It's just entirely too much cash for product to start out with. I would probably start out with something of very close to equal results for a fraction of the cost. It's a great product from what I've seen and read about but gotta have pretty deep pockets to drop on a starter kit to get up and running...

If you get some for your car, use the same one for customer cars. If your prices are right, shouldn't take you long to make enough to afford more Swissvax.

What would you recommend for starter products? Just curious.

I really like Optimum Spray Wax. I'm also looking into Optimum Opti-Coat
