Re: Critique the website above you...

Thank you, twista!
You've just helped me prioritize things that need attention and gave some great tips. Many others have said the same thing about the logo, but I market myself by my name and business... the 'alien' logo was designed by a friend of mine in NYC that did the brand identity work pro bono. Any graphic design types should check out his work at justin edwards | ART DIRECTION/DESIGN PORTFOLIO

I'll let someone else do your site, but I will if no one else does. I like it and have bookmarked it for inspiration.

Re: Critique the website above you...

Twista- You don't have to do mine again but I thought I'd look through your's I love how clean and crisp it is. However like mine there seems to be a few spelling issues and grammical errors. Also you might want to update the front page as winter is already gone

Issues I see page by page.

FAQ page - "It's not just a simple car was with some soap and water" should be wash I think

Why T2B page "Being inspires everyday by the work that we perform on our Clients Vehicles " probably should be inspired

Pretty much all I saw right now. I really like this thread. It helps all of us really better our sites.

Re: Critique the website above you...

How do you explain the reason in difference in price between the "Councours" service that starts at $1000 and the "Multi-Step Correction" that starts at $350.?

I'm assuming you're asking me?

There are various differences... first and foremost, the multi-step starting at $350 is a 2-step polishing detail whereas a concours will be at least 3-4 polishing steps. Next would be spot polishing... a regular 2-step consists of going around the car with a polish/pad combo 2 times, whereas during concours detailing I will actually treat the paint panel by panel until it's perfect (or as perfect as it will get) and leaving only a jeweling step to do for the entire car at once. Then there's stuff like wheels being clayed and thoroughly detailed as opposed to a simple wash during a regular paint correction, headlights and tails polished, etc. etc. etc.

In short, a multi-step correction focuses on exterior paint correction and protection whereas a councours detail deals with every inch on the car and making it look its best. Stuff like taking out seats, shifter boots, etc. etc. etc. adds up in time and $ easily.

Diggin you site layout Ivan...sleek and modern! I like it!

Dont really care for the calender though...makes it seem like you are not in demand! When people call me and I tell them I am booked, I hear it in their voice - damn I have to wait, and damn he must be pretty good to be booked all week long.

Just my thoughts on having a calender listing on a website!

Thanks for the compliments bud!

I do this only weekends and am pretty busy every weekend plus many clients say it's very convenient when deciding when to schedule.

I do understand where you're coming from though

Re: Critique the website above you...

Site looks nice but you should use actual thumbnails for your photo gallery instead of resizing your pictures with html attributes.

If you care about search engine optimization you need to put alt tags on your navigation links. Having them as images is going to hurt it. (Same for services page)

I would put Chicago in the body text (especially the homepage) to help with search engine as well. I didn't notice it in the title at first so wasn't sure where you were located.

I would move the testimonials form below the actual testimonials. If I'm looking at that page it is probably to see testimonials and not to submit them.

********** validation on the form submittals would be more user friendly.

Re: Critique the website above you...

I love the fact that you add the time it took under every detail. The first thing I wonder about when I see a great detail job is how long it took them. It seems that most people (at least where I live) expect something like this to take 2 hours. Informing them that it took 6 (or however long) lets them know they get what they pay for.
