We sold 4 more cars last week for a $7000 profit !

There's a market for used cars and the key is buying the right cars wholesale.
We have two Ford Taurus's we can't sell and we'll sell them at cost or a loss
so be careful what you buy.

If you get a dealers license everything you do after is 1/3 - half price.

Need a transmission rebuilt - $500
Need a bunch of dents fixed or a new fender etc. - $150
Need a new paint job - $250


Now I know why dealers want to pay less for detailing !

I have done it quite a few times in the last 2 years. Out of maybe 15 cars I lost money on 2. Usually around $500 profit. I started detailing, though, and if I can make decent money with it I won't bother flipping cars anymore. It's a LOT of hassle, for little profit. You have to get the car somehow, clean it, hide all the defects, and always talk yourself through the sale...if you tell someone straight up you do this on the side they are usually not too interested anymore. It does feel good, though when you do make a couple of bucks
