Logo Design Help

I'm thinking about revamping my logo. I like osmehting that's more plain looking that I can use in a letterhead and possibly get embroidered on some shirts in the next month or so here. Anyone willing to hook me up or point me in the right direction? I'm a awful artist unfortunately

Current design btw:

Re: Logo Design Help

well, first off, keep your colors minimal. Maybe 2 or 3 at most. Have various versions, so you can put your logo on different color shirts, paper etc.

When I think of your logo, it looks simple right now, not a fan of the car on the left though, maybe you swap that out for something cleaner.

Another thought, your named Mirror Image...play along that same line, and make your letter have reflections, like a mirrored image. Does that make sense?

Do you want your logo to look like a "patch" or sticker? Like you have it now, with the black outline? Or do you just want words and the car?

Your logo is a HUGE part of your company. Just look at Nike or Apple...just by looking at their logo, you know the company. Same goes for us...you want people to remember your name/logo! I'm in an advanced marketing class right now...we are learning all about this currently...

Re: Logo Design Help

There a buddy of mine in the area that's a mobile detailer called "Mirror Image" as well. He's pretty much asking the same question LOL. His logo is lacking. Your's is actually pretty decent though. I agree with Twista on a lot of points. I would probably swap out the car for a cleaner look.

remember the keys when designing a logo
1. A logo must be describable
2. A logo must be memorable
3. A logo must be effective without colour
4. A logo must be scalable i.e. effective when just an inch in size

Hey Jake, I just took a look at your website, I like...but see if you can resize your home page, so it fits in the window. I have to scroll over to read text at stuff. but maybe its just my web browser! Just a tip!

Re: Logo Design Help

Yea in my browser it's only about half the size of the screen so I started making things a bit bigger to actually fill my screen better. I need to look at it in other settings. That's only the temp site right now anyways. I have a outside source building me a new one as we speak. But I wanted something up for those early season calls.
