Getting started

I am in the process of trying to strum up some biz. I am going to the local used car lots and was wanting to know what kind of package you would offer, and also any help with the pitch would be appreciated. Also any detailers in the Fort Wayne IN area needing any help?

Re: Getting started

Personally I would stay away from car lots most used car lots do not want to pay much do to the fact they do not want to invest more $ than absolutely necessary into the vehicle. When I started the Mobile part of the business I thought car lots were a good money maker but found out quick that I was losing money. Try your local funeral homes,Tow companies,Construction Companies etc. Start by sending fliers advertising your services and a basic price sheet or just walk through the doors of the business that's the best way to feel the customers out to tell if they even have any interest in your service.Hope that helped some

Re: Getting started

i remember when i started it seam like no one knew i was in buisness i would find a job or two a week. however used car lots not only gave me back to back cars they also gave me more experiance. beware not all pay well but some do (ok) just find out whos good and whos bad. but in the long run you will learn that you must start out somewhere just like the guy that only does high end cars had to start out somewhere.

Re: Getting started

most used car lot guy want to pay 100 for engine, wash, one step, clay, and full interior around my area...hence why I dont even touch them...if I can get some help trained, and a constant turn around with a dealerships' cars, then I might think about it for extra money since I would not be doing most of the work besides the one step portion! But of course, I would not be doing it for 100 either, more like 150
