Autopia.org has been the world’s number one respected online automotive car care forum. On June 25, 2011 it celebrated it’s 10th anniversary with an all day Detailing Seminar and After Party at 3D International LLC Headquarters located in Santa Clarita, CA. Throughout the day there were many workshops, Q&A Sessions, product releases, educational seminars and contests that engaged hundreds of detailers and Autopians.

Autopia.org has provided a collaborative environment for car care enthusiasts willing to share their knowledge about detailing and other vehicle related topics with amateur and novice detailers. The forum is highly respected amongst such enthusiasts in the internet world, as there are several loyal members who are dedicated on sharing their expertise with individuals who are eager to learn about the best car care products to use and techniques for the perfect detail.

So what is Autopia.org? Just like Facebook, it is a community. Although, this particular community gathers a concentrated user base dedicated on everything that concerns cars and car care. Members join free; thereafter, they can post comments to existing threads, host their own blog, start new threads and discussions integrated with pictures to emulate a detailing guide- or we can call it the Encyclopedia of Car Care and Detailing. This tight knit community includes contributors that are some of the most followed detailers within the United States.

This detailing celebratory party and detailing event was sponsored by 3D International LLC., located in Santa Clarita, CA. 3D International LLC. has been a private label manufacturer of cleaning chemicals for over 25 years to various industries. It is best known for their own car care brand, 3D Products, which provides automotive supplies including soaps, tire dressings, compounds, waxes, polishes and degreasers . 3D is a highly recognized industry leader, as their products are not only affordable but are formulated with high quality green ingredients. 3D offers services to professionals and retail consumers with distribution in 18 store locations within the US, internationally in various countries, and their own website, www.3dproducts.com.

3D is well known for their HDUNO, an amazing “One Product System”, which is a powder-free compound and polish. It definitely rejoiced crowds as they released their newest product, HDNitro Seal. HD Nitro Seal is a revolutionary two step Sealant. Autopians and detailers were shocked.

Aaron, an attendee, commented: “I’ve never seen such an amazing product! It goes on so smoothly, this is one product that will sure rock the detailing world!”

During the 10th Year Anniversary event detailing sessions were held by respected moderators and members who are well known amongst the internet detailing community. Sessions were held by: Barry Theal, Thomas Dekany, and David Fermani. These three members have a strong fan base due to their incredible knowledge. Mr. Fermani gave detailers insight on the best techniques on detailing. Mr. Theal held a seminar on color sanding. Mr. Dekany gave an excellent demonstration on “How to use HD UNO to remove swirl marks. Other workshops featured wet sanding, paint correction and headlight restoration.

To wrap up the festive day, a celebration was held at BJ Brewhouse in Santa Clarita, where members and detailers mingled with their fellow industry experts, detailers, and staff of 3D Products.

Wow, glad I wasn't drooling in that pic as well. Barry will get his soon enough.

Gotta say, I love that camera of yours. Point and click, nothing more. Pics are stunning and vibrant.

Was a pleasure meeting you, David, Thomas, and the others from Autopia. Could not be a better bunch of folks. Will have to plan for something like this again in the future.

Barry, David, and Thomas THAT WAS AWWWEEEESOMMMEEEE! Makes me want to start detailing again (HEHE). One question though. Could they have given you a harder car to demonstrate on. An AUDI is perhaps the most unforgiving clear that is out there. If anyone can tame it though, it is you three.

Over all, I love it, maybe next time I can be a special guest or something with you guys. I could stand around and pass the prducts to you all (HEHE).

      Thomas nice haircut, man.
