Thanks John! Yes presta 1500 polish. I really like the way it works with wool.

It looks great now.
I'm surprised you felt the need for 3M ultra-fine after 106FF. What was the reasoning? Did you see something you didn't like?
|
Thanks JJ! I was actually having some issues using 106ff on this soft clear. With a white
CCS pad it was "binding up" on the paint. You could actually feel and hear the metabo slowing down. This also seems to create more heat. I saw the same thing happen with this combo on the black F430 that Todd and I detailed down in FL. From what Ryan thinks the sharp abrasives are actually biting into the soft clear before they are broken down. So I will make sure I have some IP and FPII with me on the next "soft clear car" I polish. Back to your question, I just wanted to ensure the paint was hologram free. On something like a vette, I like the 106ff/white as the clear is so hard it just does not matter with the rotary.

Thank you! It was not a big deal at all. I was a bit

at first. But I figured if you are polite to folks they will usually do the same.

Thanks WL! I think this is the 3rd car I have used UF on. I can't compare it as I never really used any of the presta polishes to finish with.
