Thanks. I do make it to SoCal quite a bit; maybe I could drop you a line next time I'm in the neighborhood if you haven't already found someone to work on your engine cleanup.

Re: 1991 Prelude Si 4WS Engine Detail...
Nice! You have yourself a "jewel" and are certainly aware of it. Great work
My first car was a 1982 Honda Prelude. It was a clean car and rare for its time which was 93-98 when I had it.
I gave it to my brother when I bought a 92 Prelude S which was an awesome car too.
I never owned a 3rd gen Prelude but I have always really liked them. As said previously, a great car for its time!

Ya definetly! I would LOVE for you to work on my engine cleanup. Haven't at the moment found anyone. But if you do come, just let me know in advance so I can gather up the money.

Re: 1991 Prelude Si 4WS Engine Detail...
Incredible work! Not only is the engine spotless but so is the engine bay and not just on top but all the way down!
Really nice car too. I've always liked that body style Prelude.

Ahh, the early 90's...IMHO the high-water mark for Honda. Very cool shots of the 4WS in action, too! They just don't make them like this anymore.

Thanks! Now if I was really OCD, I'd pull the engine out and clean the bay completely .

I tend to agree on the early-mid 90's being a high point in Honda engineering. The 4WS is a fun innovation to play around with and always surprises people .

Awesome detail, especially under the hood! I'm especially impressed by the clay job under the hood; with no flat surfaces under there it must have taken forever!

I think the 4WS just never caught on in the marketplace. If I remember it was over a $1000 option. Mazda had a 4WS option on the 626 back in the day too...now those are really rare!

Our '98s were our first cars with cup holders or air bags. The VW's cup holders don't hold anything larger than a small coffee. Works for me.

--OFF TOPIC--
Honda didn't invent 4WS. Mercedes first started using it for war purposes back in the 40's. And the first 4WS application in a production vehicle was the Nissan Skyline GT-R in '85. That's right, 4WD + 4WS By 1987 when Honda first introduced 4WS, Nissan had it as an option in most of their vehicles. GM wasn't late to the game either, really. They had 4WS on a few concepts in the 80's, as did everyone else. But as usual with GM, it didnt hit the market until 2000? 2001?
--ON TOPIC--
Incredible detail! Leave no man behind, or in your case, dirt particles! Great work, man! Love the 'lude, and it looks as good as ever!

Re: 1991 Prelude Si 4WS Engine Detail...
wow! lots of posts since my last one!
Glad to find somebody who would join me in collecting high-quality Hondas!
I am actually being very picky about the NSX I want, haha. I want the latest possible NSX that is equipped with the flip-top lights, comptech supercharged preferred. I would get the top blacked-out like the earlier models, though (I like to call it the "cloaked" look). 5MT of course . And the Prelude is still looking darn nice! Keep up the good work! The Prelude Si 4WS is def on my list of cars to at least drive and at most own!

Concepts are great but they're just that if they don't make it to market. The *only* Nissan car that came to the USA before the Prelude with 4WS was the 300ZX TT in 1990 (Super HICAS) so that's all we recognize. None of the other 4WS Nissans ever made it at all.
