2007 Alpine White BMW 335i

Luckily it was a sunny day but the area where I was at didn't get much sun. Got as much as I can. This car was purchased around 8 months ago, but was full of contaminants. However, the paint was relatively hard, especially for the 335i. I had to use 106FF to finish off swirl free.
Condition Before: Very mild swirls. Tested: OP/White 1800 (nothing). HT-69/White 1800 (nothing). 106FF (Megs Finishing Pad, perfect).

Rotary Hint: spread with 900, 2nd pass up it to 1500 add pressure x 2, 1800 ease up on pressure x 2, ease up on pressure to almost none 900rpm x 2.

ONR
Clay (~1.5 Hours) - Car was full of brown/black spots, probably rail dust.
PO106FF 1800rpm (~2 hours)
Meguiars #21 Sealant

Before:

Afters:

Enjoy! Jet Black = Soft Clear Coat... Alpine White = Ceramiclear?

Nice work Sam. I need to try out 106. Hard to believe after all this talk and discussion on this board about 106, I still haven't tried it.

And that looks really wet for white paint too.

BMW certainly has cornered the market on aggressive headlights. They look so mean.

I am tempted to switch to the 335. Awesome gains from some minor modifications!

Love it, thumbs up man

Re: 2007 Alpine White BMW 335i

Thanks John, let me know I'll send you some. I have about 20 oz of my 1 gallon jug left. I just love that stuff. I should just buy that and not waste my time on other products.

Thanks for the comment guys. Picus, I know how much you LOVE to work on the 3 series as you get most of the ones here. How do you think the paint differs on every color? There was an explanation of how Jet Black and some other colors were soft, but the other colors with metallics were pretty hard.

Just to warn you guys, the orange peel is there from the factory. But don't let that deter you from buying a 300 lb/ft twin turbo 335i ! If you live in a city like SF, it's great. The power band kicks in immediately and not like the N/A coming in at around 5k. You start feeling the torque on this car at around 2.5.

Ok the three standard non metallic colors are: Crimson Red, Jet Black, Alpine White...

Re: 2007 Alpine White BMW 335i

Outstanding Results. I work on the E46 models and these cars i have to say are pretty difficult sometimes to work with.
