    Headlight restoration

Saw this Jeep at my neighbors house and just had to offer the service. He was very happy with the outcome to say the least.

Process was multiple steps of wet sanding, wool pad compounding and finished with orange foam/FPII on the rotary.

very nice turnaround. It always pains me to see cars with headlights like the before one.

What grits and type of paper did you use?
    1000, 2000, 3000. Or what?

Yeah, it must be nice to be able to see at night eh??

These were so horrible that I started with 400 grit and worked down to 4000 grit before polishing.

Thanks! I have been extremely busy over the past 6 months and haven't had much time to post. I really miss posting and hope to post up all of my upcoming details depending on free time. Keep up the good work!

By the way, where do you get your 4000 grit paper from??

Ha, ha. Yes, I bought a micro mesh kit a while back for my plastic car models. I think the grit went down to 10,000. Felt about like notebook paper!

Yeah, the fine stuff is so fine that you don't think it could possibly work but it does.
