Sam's Auto: Contaminated White Toyota Celica w/ Product Comparasions
Well I just did a Toyota Celica, one of my friends. Took about 9 hours, but learned a lot. Got used to the rotary a bit since I got my sitting trolly that rolls around, it's much easier to do the bottom now. But here was the process:
Exterior:
Wash w/ ONR (Had to get to a shade since it was noon)
Clay with automagic clay w/ ONR lube
Wash again with Gold Class
HTEC/OP 50/50 mix, w/ Megs Burgandy Pad, 1800RPM
Menzerna PO106FF w/ White LC Pad then Later switched to Megs Tan Pad, 1500RPM
Klasse AIO, PC 4, White LC Pad
Megs #26 yellow wax, PC 4, Megs tan pad.
Megs Hot Shine on tires (not shown here)
Interior:
303 Aerospace protectant
Lexol Leather Cleaner on Steering Wheel and E-Brake
Vacuum
Befores:
Contaminated:
Rear Quarter Panel Itself:
Wings Itself:
After Clay:
Swirls:
While Polishing
After:
Scratches Gone:
The Trolly:
Are the pictures too big? I think it's easier to see the details when it's bigger, after all we are "Detailers"

I take it the paint was single stage?

Actually I don't know, I've heard Celicas had single stage paints, but this one didn't transfer onto my pads, so probably not. (Phew). Yeah, I can't wait for the full sunshots either!

Whoa Dude Gross!! Man white can REALLY look ugly if owners let it go like that. You probably just added 5 years onto that car's life, it was looking pretty trashy before. Did you charge him for it?? I hope so:grinno Was that the end of your claybar's usefulness as well? Those wheels came out nice too, definite improvement, good job.

Yeah, I charged him for it, 9 hours is a bit to let go. The end of the claybar wasn't as useful as if it was rounded (freshly folded) if you know what I mean. That car probably used up about 60 grams of claybar itself. It was horrible. Thanks
Frank~ONR lube worked well, but I like the smell of the Meg's QD still. It was weird smelling the ONR. Did you get your SIP yet?

The Celica was so much in need of your special care. Looks worlds apart now from the before shots!

What a difference! I wonder what year it was when it was washed last?
