Sooooo , what ever happened to the Extreme Detail Contest!!??! Remembering a few years back when I entered them, they were a great monthly contest with reward of a $100 Autopia.org store gift certificate. Did the contest go away due to non participants? or what?
Im just curious.

It was probably too time consuming, I think that's why they have the weekly sweepstakes now.

I mean it was only once a month at the end of the month the threads posted in the dedicated thread section would have a poll started for ALL members to vote. Vote would last a couple of days then the most votes wins. Didnt seem to complicated to me. I think it was the lack of entries over time ESPECIALLY in the winter time.

I don't know why they stopped.
I suppose it was partly because nobody really followed the guidelines for the contest and it was time consuming. | |

My recollection was a combination of low entries during the winter and the "Mod in Charge" of the contest leaving resulted in it petering out.
