Gotta love teamwork - Area detailers GTG on a 300.

Some of us local ATL guys got together to detail a couple of cars.
Here is the wife's Chrysler 300

A huge thanks to everyone for working on Roni's car -
Chris and Cindy for hosting the GTG.
Bryan for running the rotary and wool.
Lee for taking care of the interior.
Bret for washing, running a PC and wipedowns.
Calvin for wipedowns and supervision. :

2006 Chrysler 300 Touring.
About 22,000 miles.

The paint has some wierd bonded contaminants on it.
I clayed it April 10th and used some Zaino AIO.

Here is the link to the first clay the car got.

For this round the car got a Dawn wash with sheepskin mit.
The surface contaminants were still evident and the car got another clay job with Clay Magic Blue clay. A wash with Chemical Guys shampoo from Brets foam gun followed. I gotta get one of those foam guns. They are entirely too cool.

Lee knocked out the interior using "1Z" plastic cleaner and then protectant. The car got a well deserved vacuum too.

Bryan ran the Metabo rotary @ 1500 with LC Green Wool pad and Presta 1500. I got to try my hand at the rotary and now I want one. Any word on a group purchase yet Bryan? :

Bret and I followed Bryan. I used my PC with a Blue P1 pad and Zaino ZPC. Bret used the ZPC and a yellow Megs pad on his PC.

The car was topped with Zaino Z5 Pro ZFX'ed three times.

The tires got Zaino Z16.

The wheels got Zaino AIO.

We did not get any close-up before pictures showing the defects, but I can say that once home under the flouresent lights and today in the sunlight, most all of them are gone. The ones that remain are chips and deep scratches. Thanks Bryan for the excellent rotary work.

Here are some pics that Bryan and I took.

Gotta get one of those foam guns.

Chris had a great place for us to work.
Thanks for setting up the canopy.

A little wetsanding on a scratch on the trunk lid.
It helped a whole lot.

Bret running the PC - Calvin supervising. :

All Done.

On my way home...

It looks like you guys had a great time. I see you guys were using one of the new Lake Country wash mitts. What did you think of it? Better than the Schmitt????

It was a very fun time Pat. The Durango Bryan did was super slick when the polishing was done.

We used 1Z Plastik Reiniger which I am finding is the best plastic and vinyl cleaner out there. We followed up with Cockpit Premium, which the pics showed the sheen a bit better but I will invest in a new Nikon digital body soon.

I really like the finish the 1Z gave to the interior.
I had tried 303 a few weeks back but did not care for it - Normally I really like 303.
Thanks for using the 1Z Lee.

I did not get a chance to use the new mit.
Bret really seems to like it.
