White Buick Regal (56k No Way)

Todays detail is an unknown year Buick Regal. Judging by the condition the car was in though I'd say it was about early - mid 90's. The owner just had the car repainted and didn't want to buff the car (didn't realy need it anyway, swirling is minimal - none) What the owner didn't tell me was that there was some type of overspray ontop of the windows and the rubber trim... I was able to take the overspray from the glass off, but not the rubber trim. I'm sure the apc would've cut right through it, but my solution was way to strong (was even stripping some of the black off the tires and wheel wells... Anyways, heres' the process

Exterior
----

Optimum Car Wash
Hi-Temp APC for the tires and wheel wells
Zaino Z-18 clay
Sonus Gray clay (for the windows)
Clearkote Quickshine wipedown
Zaino Z-16 x2
Einszette 1Z Glass Polish
Werkstatt's Prime Strong
Werkstatt's Acrylic Jett: Trigger x2

Interior
------

Zaino Z-9
Zaino Z-10
303 Aerospace Protectant
Meguiars NXT Glass Cleaner
Vaccum carpet and seats

Anyways, heres the results...

Drivers side door panel before...

And after...

After...

After...

And the rest of the afters

Pretty bad for a repainted car...

Didn't take any befores of the whole car since I didn't do any buffing. Normally Werkstatt's has much more gloss then what is shown but isn't the case this time. Would it be because of the paint the body shop used? Or would a light buff have corrected this problem?

Also, what would safely remove overspray from the rubber trim? I was thinking about using the APC, but my dilution was a bit to strong. I didn't have the gallon w/ me either to mix a new batch.

It seems the shop painted over a lot of the chrome parts as well. Part of the chrome edging were oversprayed badly, and even a section of the window. I'm not familiar with Buicks but I'm pretty sure the grill didn't come color matched from the factory.... nor the door handles

Looks pretty good for such an old car, but those rims(or wheel covers) or hideous.

Not much you can do with an obviously poor repaint but it still looks better than most similar Regals I see on the street.

I wanted to ask the owner more about the car, particularly the repaint but she wasn't home the entire time. The husband knew nothing of the repaint either. Ah well. She did seem to be pretty ecstatic about the outcome though

Thanks for the compliments guys!
