Polished Bliss detailing Vs Audi S4

This was Todays detail, an Audi S4 packing a rather nice 400bhp

A couple of before's:

The car was showing obvious signs of a re-spray job once some PTG readings were taken, the roof had just a wee bit of paint left....

yes thats 579 microns, a good few coats of CC on there then

Not so much on the tailgate though....

this is the 2nd audi in a week to have a reading as scarey low as this, needless to say this particular area of the tailgate didnt get much polishing at all!

Re: Polished Bliss detailing Vs Audi S4

the rest of the car was showing the usual 130/140 microns on the original painted parts but some obvious holograms probably from the bodyshop were apparant...

As the Blackfire Finishing Polish had good performance on the RS6 we did last week i decided to try my luck with it again on this Audi, despite it being slightly worse off - paint condition wise. A meguiars polishing pad with the Rotary, 2 passes @900rpm, 4 or 5 passes @1500rpm and 2 or 3 more passes @900rpm to refine the finish gave the below 50/50 shot....

Nice! a pleasant surprise for once, the Blackfire removed everything that could realistically be taken out after the first attempt, with some areas of the roof and bonnet needing a couple of attempts.

The boot lid was more resistant though and the blackfire struggled to remove the holograms and swirls show below...

After a couple of different product combinations the Chemical Guys Diamond Cut 1000 finally got the desired results, with the rotary going up to an aggressive 2000rpm to remove the last few defects!

Great detail, not easy with the differences in paint thickness;love the S4,looks like a normal four door saloon, but packs a twin turbo V6 punch, awsome.

Looks great! Any reason for using the Wet Diamond over the Acrylic Jett? Pretty nasty in the befores, LOL at the amount of paint on the roof.

Beautiful job, I love that car. That is my favorite type of interior on almost any car.

Great work on the S4! That color is interesting. It was never available in the States.
