Magazine Spread on my blown Mustang GT in Mustang Enthusiast Magazine
Well, since many of the detailing tricks I learned here on Autopia, I wanted to share my feature article in the February 2006 Mustang Enthusiast Magazine. While I attended Fun Ford Weekend In Norwalk, the editor of the magazine, Rob Reaser, contacted me and said that he loved the detail and modification quality of my Mustang. He said that he had never seen silver shine as mine did - his words not mine. Anyway, he offered me a feature article in the magazine, and he had a great old airstrip for the photoshoot. It was great watching him do the photoshoot as he kept on getting glares off the paint, and the chrome in the engine bay.
The published pages below are the result. I am very proud to have the car published in the magazine...it is cool to look through a copy and see your own car. I only wish the mods that I am doing over the winter would have been installed ahead of time.
Anyway, here are is the article (4 pages) with high res. versions included below in case you want to read the text.
Pages 1 and 2:

Pages 3 and 4:

I just thought folks might be interested. Thanks as always Autopians for the ongoing sharing of information and best detailing tips...they pay off!
~Darren

Thank you for the compliments- everyone. The car has been dynoed at 366 rwhp and 363 rwtq, and since then, I have added Ford Racing headers with flanges cleaned up, as well as 2 stages colder plugs gapped at .35, a ported and polished plenum, and a stronger fuel system which has made the car much more stout. Joe DaSilva, my shop owner, figures the car should be mid-380 at the wheels now, and I will be adding a polished Aftercooler and Cobra Heat Exchanger, to the car this summer, with a fresh SCT tune, aiming at 425 rwhp. There is also a significant amount of chrome that will be added to the engine bay for the coming season. I estimated a conservative 380/380 for the article text based on what various tuners had shared with me.
