Talking My battle against Orange Peel, Altezza (IS300) No 56k!!!!

Hey Guys, I recently took a stab at getting rid of the nasty OP I had, I'm bit fussy when it comes to certain things...

Prior to this huge task the car has been regularly treated to Meguairs products,
Gold Class Shampoo,
Gold Class Wax
NXT Wax (with Zymol Shampoo)
3 Stage DCS

I have been very impressed with the above products, but a friend offered to let me use some of his stuff along with the PCP for my paint flattening process..

Enough is Enough i have to get rid of OP!

I know I won't get rid of it 100%... but here's how today turned out.

Here's what was leant to me,

Porter Cable Polisher (with counterweight and Velcro backing pad attached)
Power Inverter
Extension Lead
Meguiars Detailing clay and quick detailer spray
3 Sonus Polisher Pads (Orange, Blue, Green)
Sonus Shampoo (new bottle)
Sonus SFX 1 (use with orange pad) & 2 (use green pad)
Klasse All in one (use with blue pad)
Klasse Sealant Glaze
Pinnacle Souvereign Carnuba Wax

I also bought some Alu Belgom metal Polish, seems to be very rated amongst polishing veterans!

Anyway this is today's efforts... So on with the pics!!!!

Goodies! Pictures not too clear but the car is filthy!

Shampoo Pre-rinse

Suds

Washed with Meg's Lambs wool Mit

They haven't been cleaned in 2 weeks!

Also, i won't be doing the bonnet as this was paint last year and i had the bodyshop wetsand it, its flawless as it is, but will be SFX-1'd anyway... Same with the bootlid and front bumper.

Very black, very flat, very shinneeyy!!

King of 'dumped' ?

Will get some better pics.

Pinnacle Wax is simply Amazing!!!!!! the car started to go little hazy with the SG, Wax darkend the colour and made the paint look extremely wet!!

Next, layer on some Pinnacle, its beading very well!! will get some more Close up shots soon!

Enjoy!

First tip...

Make sure the sand paper is well soaked, i left them over nite.

Start off with the finest Wet and Dry you can find, i started with 1200, it was little too course for some of the panels, but i went with 2000 grit in the end

Do a test first, don't rub the whole car down thinking it will be fine, if you go thin you'll be screwed! do somewhere concealed like door jam, normally the paint is thick enough so you can trial and error.

I would advise you have some serious level of paitence, this whole saga took me 2wks to complete due to poor british weather.
