This is my Probe, as mentioned in my signature. It hadn't received an engine bay detail for about a year, basically because I kept putting it off, and it wasn't too dirty. In the past I've used Turtle Wax 2001 Protectant to dress hoses and wire covers. I was fairly satisfied with the results, but this time I tried something different.
The tools:
Greased Lightning APC diluted 1:3
Tap water in a spray bottle to spot rinse
A cheap terry cotton rag and a small nylon brush to scrub
Microfiber towels for final cleaning and drying
Meguiar's foam applicator pad
Meguiar's #40 Vinyl and Rubber Cleaner/Protectant

The #40 really impresses me every time I use it. It cleans well, the look is exactly what I want, and it doesn't attract dust nearly as much as the 2001 Protectant. I've used the 2001 and #40 on my interior and the #40 blows it away.
As for the Greased Lightning, I can only compare it to diluted Simple Green. I think I prefer Greased Lightning. It seems to wash away grease with less effort than Simple Green. I also prefer the soapy feeling of Greased Lightning when it gets on my hands, versus the more harsh feeling of Simple Green.
I'm nervous about posting my pictures, because this car is my pride and joy. It's an ongoing project which started about 5 years ago, and I constantly have to battle the signs of age showing up here and there.
