Sunday's Detail - 2000 Black Honda S2000

Wow, i just came to post these and noticed two other S2000 details, the first ones i've ever seen before. Crazy...Anyway, Again i didn't take before pics, shame on me...but it was a californians car, lots of rock chips ruin the overall look but I am VERY pleased with the outcome...Was BADLY BADLY swirled and very disgusting all together..

Process:
NXT/Chennile Wash
Quik Clay
DACP/Cutting Pad/PC - 6
Show Car Glaze/Polishing Pad/PC - 5
2X NXT Tech Wax/Finishing Pad/PC - 3

Pictures:

You can see the Smearing problem I'm having with NXT, even with two coats...

A little dust from waiting for the pick up...

Swirl free, but the sun shot looks TERRIBLE because of the NXT, i don't know what to do about this...

Again, hardly any swirls, but the smeary look of the nxt...

So basically i need some serious help with this, because I'm not sure what i'm doing wrong to make it look like this...I think it turned out absolutely gorgeous other than that damned smearing...

Please post help/comments...

Nice reflection on the door.

I'm assuming the smearing wasn't present before you applied NXT? I'd usually got with #80 with a polishing pad after DACP with a cutting pad.

How did you remove NXT?
I find with light coats, I don't get any smearing. Even when I was new to this detailing biz and applied NXT too thick, I didn't get smearing like that, and it would usually buff off with some distilled water or QD with a little effort.
Make sure it's hazed before you remove, use a few MFs, and QD if necessary. It's unfortunate, but NXT is easy once you get the hang of it.

That's not hazing from NXT, that is marring. Use a finishing polish (like #82 or #9 since you like Megs) on a polishing/finishing pad and it will be gone.

Mad - Thanks for the comments, I removed it with MF's by hand, but after some reading I don't think I let it set up long enough, it was gone a few hours later....

MD - Not marring, or at least not like any i've seen before, I can make it move with a MF.....Pretty sure it's streaking from either SCG or NXT...
