330HP EVO VIII RS Detail *pics* 56K probably not

Over the weekend I detailed two cars at the opposite end of the spectrum in terms of performance. The first was 92 supercharged fox body mustang, a really sweet car: the second cae was 2004 (I think) Mitsubishi EVO VIII. This evo was just as modded as the 5.0, the car dynode at 330+ HP to the wheels!!! The owner tried to tell me the mods, but I just couldn’t keep up with them.

On to the detail. Sorry no “real” before shots as the lighting was horrible and the paint was white. The car was moderately swirled and need a good polishing. The interior was fairly clean and just needed a quick vac, dusting, and some spot cleaning on the carpets/seats.

Process:

Wash with NXT
Clay
Applied PB’s SSR2.5 via cyclo and green pads
SSR1 via cyclo green pads
AIO via PC polishing pad
#16 by hand
finished her out with OCW
all trim was dressed with AIO
Tires were dressed with Michelin tire dressing

On the motor I degreased with Costco APC 10:1
Waxed all painted areas with AIO/#16
Dressed with meguiars #40 cut 50/50 with water

The detail took just about 4.5 hours.

Motor before:

Motor after:

Wheel after, I used acid based wheel cleaner, followed with car wash soap and MF mitt, finished with AIO/#20. I used some OCW on the calipers:

Beautiful work Joe!

That car looks amazing in every way. I would probably do some modest wheels and all red tails, but other than that, just wow.

You are certainly setting the bar for us others here. I'm going to start using a protectant on the jams now, they look great!

PS - Does he know hes missing a lug?

Nice work EBP, want to do mine for me! I just picked her up on Saturday!!

Oh and I can vouch for how great of a job he did on the wheels, the brake dust is really something else! A real paint in the a**. Can't wait to get the PB's wheel sealant on them!!
