Aston Martin Vanquish

This is a friends brother's car and was my project for today. Whilst it gets cleaned on a failry regular basis, that only extends to a wash and dry - I don't think it has seen any love and care since he bought it new back in 2002.

The inside was a challenge as well becasue it was so tight and has the worlds hardest rear window to clean. All interior surfaces are leather as well so that took some time to get clean.

I haven't got any before shots as the light was terrible, and the after shots aren't great as it was parked in a fairly tight space, but you get the idea. I'll hopefully get some better shots soon as this car is supposed to be the "cover car" for my website.

Process was:

NXT wash
Clay Magic blue (it used a whole bar there was that much crap on it!) with NXT wash as lube
SSR2.5 with Sonus DAS Green
AIO with Sonus DAS Green
EX-P by hand
AIO on windows/trim/window rubbers
Meg's Endurance High Gloss on tyres

AG leather cleaner and conditioner
AG interior shampoo
AG Fast glass

I also picked up his Bentley Arnage T to detail. Hopefully he'll also let me loose on the 360 Spider, 996 Turbo Cab, Range Rover and Aston Martin LM600 Vantage that he also has!

Ben

Gorgeous work and one of my fave cars. I wish the pictures were more sunny but you can't control the weather can you?!

I know from Todd's Solara that EXP works great on silver.

Holy crap. What does this man do to afford such a magnificent collection of automobiles? That is one of my all time favorite cars. It's cool to think of something like Poorboy's SSR product and the sealant making it all the way to the UK for use on an Aston Martin, and seeing those great results makes it that much cooler. What's the LCD display to the right of the steering wheel up in the corner?

That is a sexy machine. Great job cleaning it up. I can see whatcha mean about that back window. I'd love to have a car like that. Could you get one with a straight shift, or are they all paddle shift or something?

if i were lucky enough to be able to pick out a 'supercar', that would be it....

the Astin Martin has enough ambiguity, that every onlooker wouldnt be staring at ya at every stop light.

as oppposed to a red 360 Modena or a yellow murcielago (sp!)
