Nice work . Differing opinions about the car but it looks immaculate.

THANK YOU all for the kind words!!

As with the factory GTO I imagined that this package would also be a love it or hate it affair....and that seems to be the case. Personally, I'm just glad that at least one GM dealership is trying to do something with the Goat since it was such a bomb as delivered (WAAAY too bland for me). To hear this monster at idle too does something to you. Even with my WS6 fired up and idling with its 112 lobe separation cam...this Goat made it sound like a stocker!!

Terry those are TSW rims with backspacing designed for the current GTO. The 17" wheels will be factory rims that are chrome dipped.

NavindraLR you are dead on correct...those heat extractors are indeed out of the Buick parts bin. They tried keeping much of the package "in house" with GM parts.

The hood...ah yes the hood...another love it or hate it deal. I can tell you this...it does look better in person. Also, that scoop is not attached to the hood...its attached to the motor and comes through the hood. It is a fuctional shaker set-up like the current Ford Mustang Mach 1. It is also a functional ram air set-up.

Thanks again all for the comments!!

wow, super job!

as for the styling goes...... at least it has a functional shaker scoop and doesn't look so bland. and the hood scoop looks like the original one, was that the basis for this design?

hirosh thanks for the compliment!!

I believe that is the look he was going for when he designed the shaker hood. If I am not mistaken that very scoop (or a designed similar to it) could be had on the mid 60's GTO's.

i think the original GTO's had a shaker scoop of the same design. and i think it is cool that he is trying to do *something* and trying to incorporate some of those styling cues of the original GTO (shaker scoop, the tailpipes, not sure about the heat vents though) into its modern day cousin. you gotta give him props for that.

then again, i am biased towards modern cars with "retro" styling, like my Mach1 shaker scoop, almost like the original one, it works at the same speed (65mph+) too! stripes; front lip spoiler; black rear spoiler; modern interpretation of the Magnum 500 rims; along with the performance to back it up.

since this is a prototype, is he open to suggestions? maybe a little more tweaking might make this into one bad-a** looking Goat. *edit - ooops never mind, i just checked out his website and it's up. oh well. i still think it looks better than a regular GTO, and looks like it's not just an ordinary Pontiac.
