Now, one might think having a 2003 Benz come into the shop, means it should be an easy job. Wrong. This black AMG Benz was loaded with swirl marks. Reason, the owner took it to the wrong place to get washed. Even though it was a hand
car wash, the shop was using the same drying towels for 20 cars. Plus, he never clayed the car so whatever surface dirt was left on the car was used as sand paper when drying. The swirls were so bad that I actually spent all day on the car. After I removed the surface contaminants, I attacked the swirls. Using "less is best" approach, I used a dual head cyclo buffer with a light cutting glaze, which removed some but not all. Next I went to a more aggresive pad, also went to a light compound, and finally got the results I wanted. Then I went to a polishing pad, with a swirl remover polish, then to a machine pure polish, then I sealed it. Total time just for the exerior was 6 hours. as you can see, the results are stunning. I'm even taking better pictures now.
