We bought a Focus Wagon used, it has really dark tint all around--looks awesome (it's silver). I need to detail it and get some pictures up, it really looks nice. Fun to drive too.

Silver and tint looks great.

I don't have tinting (it's an '88!) but it is possible in many states to get a doctor to okay the tint if you have "sensitive eyes." I know two people who never get bothered for their tint but have the paperwork to get out ticket-free. For what it is worth...

Redcar GUY,

Thanks for the comment!

For a while I was thinking about leaving the windows clear. After I saw a titanium 7 like mine with the tint all the way around, I just had to go for it!

Cheers,

50% all around sounds like a good setup. I have 35% all around, which I love, but I wouldn't mind going darker either. In CA, lots of tint shops will simply warn you about the law but tint the front windows for you anyway. I find that the cops won't bother you as long as you don't get it too dark, and as long as your car isn't too inconspicuous.

I also got a tinted sunstrip on my windshield. This has been *immensely* functional in blocking the sun while I drive. AFAIK, you cannot tint the windshield (of course), but you can have a strip within the top 7 or 8 inches of the windshield, as long as it is not opaque.

In Texas, windshield tint cannot extend lower than the factory tint line.

Thanks AMP, definately worth it I think.

SOME shops will tint the entire windshield for you, but it is illegal everywhere.
