It's not you may friend (at least I don't think it's you - you are in Hamilton right?). The guy who copied my site is in the Toronto area.

Clean Freak,
Thank's for be professional about the matter. I did not know you were a member, if knew I would have PM'd you.
I mentioned on another forum about another photo theft. The pictured used belonged to a member here and were used to make blantent misrepresentation, of what clay can do.

I am not going to make a big deal out of it. It doesn't affect me or my business directly - it's just lame to not spend five minutes and write something original for your site. Hell, he could have even used my site and other sites for ideas and then came up with something somewhat original.

I have seen some of my pix on kidnapped as well.
Most of them are not like cleaningfreak with honesty. They try and actually tell me that the pic is there's. I ask them questions about the car and they start to stutter, when i tell them i was the one who detailed it they hang up on me. I then call back with a few nice words from a NY'er and within a day the pic is removed.
If it is not removed a letter from my lawyer usually gets it removed.
If that dont work, i will not say what comes next....

Folks, I moved this thread to Click and Brag because it is a relevant topic for those of us who take pics of our vehicles.

something like that i would have to say no. my avatar was not taken by me as well. i do not know who took it to be honest but it wasnt me.
the person is not claiming they own the s100 or make the s100, they are just using is a an avatar.
if they had a picture of a car you did, i would say that grounds for some a$$kicking.

If YOU took the picture he has NO right to use it, I would email him and tell him to remove it immediately.

If it is just a picture of a jar of S100, what is the big deal? That's kind of ridiculous. I didn't create the beer mug in my avatar, but I'm not about to track down who did.
On the other hand, if it is a jar of S100 on the hood of your car or something like that then that's a different story.

Well I have now adopted the habit of inserting into my pictures something called a "Digital Watermark". I am now also applying my business name and year to each photo.
The digi-mark is applied through my Adobe Photoshop 7.0
It's suppossed to be in this picture but not viewable, not sure if that is correct just yet but you can also see in the bottom left my business name and year,
Anthony
