I was entirely too tired of the swirls that have developed over the past few years and I really needed a fresh coat of LSP. What better time than the hottest weekend of the season? How about the hottest weekend of the season while I have the worst cold I can remember!

I didnt take progress pics of the polishing process, but Im a noob anyway so theres nothing to be learned from me. I used my PC with 5.5" orange and 6.5" black pads with Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover and Advanced Finishing Polish. I wasnt going for 100% correction but there was a fair amount of swirling building up which I wanted to cut down. Some deeper scratches are just going to have to stay. After all, its an 11 year old daily driver with 170k miles on it.

    During polish:

    Opti-Coated wheels:

HD Protect on the tires, always hated tire shine, (dirt road) but Protect it the cats meow.

Reflection shots are a complete pain with a crappy phone camera...

    Cleaning up some trim...
    Before

    After

The car was topped with OptiSeal and the hood got a coat of Nattys Blue to compare and see if the rest of it needs an extra step. Its such a pleasure to use I have no problem doing the rest of the car just for the feel.

Interior got a freshening as well but it needs to be gutted to take care of some water leaks and I need to restore the carpet.

Looking into where my next urban photoshoot will be. Hopefully get some more glamor shots to share. For now, this is what ive got.

Thanks for looking and let me know what you think.

Miss those days and cars. Looks awesome. I just wish my GMs lasted as long as yours.

The trim was cleaned with HD total and treated with HD Protect.

Thanks for the kind words. GMs may not have had the most inspirational design in those days but its tough to beat their reliability.

The black paint looks phenomenal for the age of the vehicle. Good work!

Say, are you in Alberta by chance?

And here I thought that the spruce/willows and terrain in your pictures were a dead giveaway! You're welcome up here anytime

The paint looks outstanding for one-seven-o! Your location helps though, the sun eventually destroys 90's GM paint here unless it's garaged during daytime and only driven after the sun goes down .
