This G8 belongs to a good friend of mine, and we decided it was time to clean it up a bit. The car is not stock, it has headers, intake, exhaust, tune, and prob some more things I can't think of.

The owner said he drove through some "concrete", I thought he was joking, it was actually really hard to remove from the wheel wells.

    Process

Foam canon with DP xtreme foam
2BM wash with CG Citrus wash
Diablo gel and APC on the wheels, wheel wells, and tires.
    Dried with WW towels
Polished with M205, white/green LC pads
    LSP - Blackfire wet diamond
    Blackfire total eclipse tire gel
    Aquapel on windsheild
APC and 303 aerospace on the inside

All photos are unedited, taken with Nikon D7000 and various lenses.

Here are a few before pictures.

    Wheels got Diablo Gel

Tires and wheel wells got APC 4:1

    Rinsed

    that's better

It was pretty obvious that the paint didn't have much protection left.

    Paintwork before

    Taped up

    After polishing no LSP

    Tape removed

    Blackfire wet diamond applied

While that cured, I cleaned up the inside

I'm guessing one of his kids and something blow up back here.

Vacuum, Apc, 303 Aerospace protectant, cleaned up the inside.

    Aquapel applied

Looks great! Love how the G8s have somewhat soft paint, makes polishing them out nice, doesn't it?

Simply gorgeous work, the G8 looks like it was made out of liquid glass!

The car looks awesome! Great work!

I have a question about the leather seats in the G8,and I was wondering if you or someone else could help me. What was your process in cleaning/protecting them??

We bought my wife a 2009 G8 GT with less than 20k on the clock in April. We LOVE this car. The owner claimed it was kept in immaculate condition, and it is a very nice car. However, it's not as immaculate as he led us to believe including a big scratch on the hood. Overall though,it was too nice of a car to let go and we had driven 400 miles to get it. As for the interior, you can tell the guy had kids. There are lots of little stains on the leather. They've probably never been cleaned. Dear Lord this car has the most contaminants I've ever seen stuck in the paint also. I have GOT to get around to doing a full blown detail on this car. I finally had some time off this week, but it just didn't work out.

I've never owned a car with leather seats before. I've purchased Zaino Z9/Z10,and I also bought a nice Swisswax brush too. I'm just nervous about cleaning the seats for some reason!

Looks really good, I like the blacked out look.

What do you use to scrub the wheel wells?

Used stiff bristle brush, and a old orange polishing pad and threw it away afterwards.

Really outstanding result!! I have had good luck with white distilled vinegar as a "soaking agent" on concrete. The light acidity breaks down the lime which softens it, FWIW.
