8-1-09: Alright guys, got the exhaust done and the body is bolted on. Tomorrow the fender and the hood go on, along with the trunk. I'll post some pics of that in a few days. But here are some pics for now!!

Re: Build process of mine & my Father's 55 Bel-Air...

8-1-01: The 5 month point!!! Five months ago to the day we took the car over to the shop to get the work started, and look how far we've come in just a few short months!! Pretty amazing if you ask me. Anyway, the body and all of the panels are bolted on. We've gotta do some final fit and finish, but the bulk of the work is done. Everything went on nice and lined up great. He's gonna do some final tweaks over the next week or so. Then it comes home so we can wire it up, run the lines, etc...

That's awesome. A very nice build.

I wish my dad was interested in that stuff. He reads the paper on the weekends and drinks everyday after work... ugh.

Thanks man. Sorry to hear that about your father. It's hard to get interested in something your father is if that's all he does. But make an effort to do something is the best advice I can give you. I had a chance when I was younger to spend time with my father working on my 1970 Mach 1 and i didn't. So with this car I'm making up for it. See if there is something your father would be into. Hopefully you find something, and make the most of it...

Thanks a lot. Sounds like a cool project you got. Those era Porsches are pretty cool. Yeah I love the color. I looked through so many reds, and the Viper red just had everything I was looking for. It's nice and bright in the sun, but yet shows wonderful reflections under low light situations!!
