2004 Ford Expedition Eddie Buffer Trail Edition

This is a detail I did in January, here are some before pictures, mind you this is after a wash, and yes i did buy the truck in this condition but i was able to talk the dealer down because i told him it needed a repaint.
after wash, out in the sun at 9 am

so my process was two bucket wash the car with nxt shampoo
next clay the entire car because it had overspray from the repair on the side door.
PC with megs 83 with lc orange pad
PC with m09 with white pad
PC with m07 show car glaze (to protect new paint)
PC to put 2 coats of nxt 2.0 for protection

The car came out 90% corrected, I needed something stronger than 83 for the RIDS, and some of the scratches, but honestly its a daily driver, as long as it looks good from 5 feet thats all i care about.

so without further ado,
The afters:

That is amazing.

I detailed a black sedan four-ish years ago, not as bad as that. It was a nightmare. Something like 16 hours of polishing with a pc.

Did you use all LC pads, and what size?

Re: 2004 Ford Expedition Eddie Buffer Trail Edition

thanks guys the pads were 6.5 inch all by LC.

It did take alot of time to get results like that, but i think with my SIP and nano, I could get the expedition to 98% good, but its a DD so as long as it looks good to autopians and amazing to the laymen thats all i care for this car! The vette and the infiniti however need to be pristine!

Is there really still snow on the ground in Jume up there??? Wow.

Anyway--the "before" on that is shocking. Years of road salt ground in my automatic car washes, I guess.

Awesome turnaround. Di I miss where you said how long it took???

this detail was done in Jan. Hence the snow lol

took me about 8 hrs on the polishing alone and i think 10 with the wash and wiping down the interior

That does look pretty rough. It looks like whoever owned it, ran it through every damn bush & tree in town. LOL

What did the dealer say when you said it needed to be repainted? Did they say we don't know what you're talking about. It looks ok to us. LOL

Good job on the detail though. Looks like a different truck.

they said "Let out detailers have a crack at it" I then asked if they were the same ones that washed the truck, and he said "yeah" to which i told him see those spots coming from the sideview mirror? "yeah" they wont wipe off, so i highly doubt your crew can repair this damage if they cant even wash the car correctly
"yeah, you got a point"
