Yeah, that's exactly the way I do it. I had *no* problem spotting the typical holograms left by others that way, but the kind of light ones like I end up leaving with my (less-than-stellar) rotary work just don't show up

The one in your pic on this thread looks like the kind I *can* see; it's what I'd consider a pretty obvious/bad one. Yeah, I know, there are some holograms on threads here that are simply *awful*, but those aren't the sort of thing I ever have to deal with.

FWIW, the last time a few holograms gave me fits it took two people, working at *just* the right time of day, to spot them. Absolutely could *not* see 'em any other way, even when I knew exactly where they were. Yeah, I suppose they were *very* minor, at least by other people's standards.

Looks great! I love how easy the GTI wheels are to clean...5 big spokes and ample space in between to get your hand in there.

I've always been a fan of metallic / charcoal colors - this one makes me want to repaint my car, haha.
