Re: Detail: Keyed 07' GT (too many pictures)

Thanks man. How's that M105 been working out for you? I keep hearing good things. Sounds like 105 w/ a Yellow pad at 1500 could polish my cement driveway into glass. Lol.

Re: Detail: Keyed 07' GT (too many pictures)

Sounds sweet. I just tried OHC for the first time yesterday.. didn't even know I had a bottle of it sittin in my garage. Not bad stuff. I'm wanting to try out the Menzerna line soon and some 3M Ultrafina. But enough, don't wanna hijack... awesome job on this GT.

Oh, one last question.. you don't have a paint gauge do you? I would feel so much more comfortable using a rotary if I had one, but it seems like lots of people don't and still use rotary. I'm just afraid of getting my hands on some random car that has no specific reason for being thin, but has very little clear nonetheless. I can't really imagine what I would do if I went through the clear on a customer car.

I'm in the process of saving for one right now.

Anyone happen to know where I can buy those paper thank you floor mats to put in people's cars like dealerships use? I need some of those so I don't dirty a client's car when bringing it back to them.

Great work! I'd be pretty ticked if my car got keyed...looks like you did a great job fixing it.

First: great job. Second: It amazed me that 4 hrs of drying time for the touched-up spots was enough. Is that typical or is the Ford touch-up paint a quick-dry formula? I would have thought a much longer wait time [like days] would have been required. Maybe the heat in your garage helped!!
