I'm back and better than ever! New Infinity G35X Black Swirled

Welcome Guys!!!!!!

Now I say I am back better then ever meaning I have worked hard to put together my best system, products, and processes that simply work for me. Rick and I also have a shop now so we can work together and no more bouncing around. I am closer to Boston now which is nice and thats where most of my customers are anyway.

I haven't been posting in a long time cause I have been to busy. Rickrack and I just opened a detail shop in Burlington, Ma. and have been very busy do some amazing correction works. I promise I will start posting lots of more jobs and pictures. I have been playing all winter long with every product and finessed my techniques to a perfect tee.

This is an Autopian members (Tony) car that is brand new. He brought it in for some service and they had washed it and swirled it pretty bad. Then they had told them they had a superb detailer that could make it look new again. He went ahead and let them detail it and it only lasted one wash. I was told they used 3M Diamond cut and Menzerna IP and FPII. He went back and they said it was impossible to remove all of the defects and scratches and all cars have swirls.

I'll let the pics do the talking of these pros.

Rickrack took these fine before photos in shock

Well we put together a process and this was a tough battle. Normally these cars are pretty soft clears, but this one was not budging. My readings were all 3.4 to 3.8 mils in thickness. When I was done with some heavy scratch removal and swirl removal the readings were still at 3.4 to 3.8 mils and had not moved at all.

Here is a tag under the hood stating that the paint is extremly hard.

We were after a 100% swirl removal job and the customer wanted the best and had money to pay. So we had our work cut out and boy did we work hard. All work was done by rotary only.

Here is work in progress! This is right after finessing the compound to a perfect gloss.

We had started the job on Friday and I finished it late Saturday night. Rick helped me big time compounding this out, but had to split early for a family event. Drink beers and have fun, while I was at the shop with good ole black G35X. I just stayed focused and finally won the battle at 100%!!!!!!!!

I finished late Saturday night and could not take pics and told him to come back to take pics. He had called me Sunday and had told me the car was 100% and could not find a flaw at all. I felt damn good.

These pictures were after a few hundred miles. The car was covered in dirt and dust bad and I had washed it and took these pictures. The customer was in relief that nothing was hiding anything anymore and the finish was 100% real.

Sorry the pics are not the greatest. My photbucket froze up and a few pics got a little distorted in the process.

Awesome recovery. The car looks like the new car that it is. You two are going to be a remarkable team.

Ryan,

I guess all those crazy hours paid off in the end! The car looks absolutely incredible, but the pictures just don't do the car justice. I am totally amazed how flawless it turned out!

You are truly the best at what you do and it is nice to be working along side of someone that is as picky as me. I can't imagine how many flawless cars that will be exiting our shop once the weather gets a little nicer!

Top notch work!!!
