Rod Run Pictures

The first Saturday of every month, there is a large car gathering called the Rod Run with a cruise following. Usually nothing to Autopian standards, but there are generally 100+ late models, hot rods, classics, etc. that attend.

Here are some pictures from today's gathering: www.shineshoppe.com/Rod%20Run%207-1-05

Sorry the quality isn't better...this was my first time to use the new camera. The pictures are fairly large, so be warned.

Where was that in Lubbock? I just graduated last year and don't remember ever seeing that particular group while I was out there. Probably did and just didn't realize it.

I found the pics to be perfect. I have a lightning fast connection, so they loaded immediately. Great quality and size.

All of the cars were beautiful, I especially liked the deep purple camaro. Very sweet.

Thanks, man! The pics were originally 3072x2084, but is sized them down and compressed them.

The Camaro is a '69 Pro-Touring style with a 502 Ram Jet motor and direct port nitrous. It also has a really sweet system, custom interior, and a good deal of paint matched fiberglass work on the interior and trunk...and the guy is only 22.

Ah, that makes sense. My wife went to school in Amarillo for 2 years. I was up there pretty much every other weekend while she was there. The drive between Amarillo and Lubbock is one of the easiest there is. Great looking cars, by the way. Looks like none of them have any of that West Texas dust on them.
